John Kelly, Fairfield Prep star and brother of PTT alum & Quinnipiac freshmen, Rich Kelly, has enrolled at NEPSAC AA notable, Chesire Academy. Following Kelly's move from AAU club, Middlesex Magic (MA), to CT-based, Project Triple Threat (PTT), the 6-foot-5 wing excelled; proving what many knew all along: Kelly is a coach's son, with good size, great intangibles, coachable, who can flat out shoot the basketball. What's more has been Kelly's commitment on both ends of the floor, having guarded multiple positions in July while improving his stock as a passer & perimeter rebounder. Arguably, one our players who made the most of what we're trying to accomplish here at Project Triple Threat (PTT) is Westerly's Dave Tiedemann, Jr.  Doug Champion (great last name) with the Westerly Sun recently looked into Tiedemann's progress.  Doug's write-up below.

WESTERLY -- Westerly High’s David Tiedemann has set lofty goals for his upcoming senior year, and he’s taken some giant steps to reach them. The 6-foot-7 forward wants to play basketball in college and hopes that he can do so at a good academic school. As an honor-roll student and two-sport standout -- in golf as well as basketball -- at Westerly High, he decided this spring to focus on improving and expanding his basketball skills. He’s been doing so since May as a player on the top team for Project Triple Threat (Wallingford, Conn.), one of New England’s premier American Amateur Union (AAU) programs.  You can read the rest of the article HERE.
